5 Ways I Actually Use Royal Jelly Powder Every Day

No health claims here. Just how I personally use it and why I like each method.

I've been taking royal jelly powder for a while now and I've landed on a few ways that just work. Not because someone on TikTok told me to. Because I tried a bunch of things and these are the ones that stuck.

1. Morning Coffee

This is the laziest one and honestly my most consistent. Half a teaspoon stirred into black coffee. It dissolves pretty well if you stir it for 10 seconds. The taste is subtle, slightly tangy, but coffee overpowers it completely. You wouldn't know it's there.

I do this because I'm already making coffee every morning and I'd forget to take it any other way. Consistency beats optimisation.

2. Smoothie Add-In

My go-to blend: frozen banana, handful of frozen blueberries, scoop of protein powder, half teaspoon of royal jelly, splash of oat milk. Blend for 30 seconds. The royal jelly disappears into it completely.

If you're the type of person who already makes smoothies, this is the easiest add. It sits right next to the protein powder on my shelf. Same routine, one extra scoop.

3. Honey and Warm Water

This is the traditional way and it's honestly the best tasting. Half a teaspoon of royal jelly powder mixed with a tablespoon of raw honey in warm (not boiling) water. Stir it up. It tastes like a slightly tangy honey drink.

I do this in the evenings sometimes instead of tea. It's calming in the same way any warm drink is calming. Nothing magical about it. Just a nice ritual.

4. DIY Face Mask

This one's for the skincare crowd. Mix half a teaspoon of royal jelly powder with a tablespoon of raw honey and a teaspoon of yoghurt or oat flour. Apply to your face, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, wash off with warm water.

I'm not going to tell you what this does for your skin because I'm not a dermatologist. What I will tell you is that B5 (panthenol), biotin, and amino acids like proline are ingredients you'll find listed on the back of products that cost $80 at Mecca. In this mask, they're in their natural form, straight from the source. Take that how you want.

5. Pre-Workout Mix

I add half a teaspoon to my pre-workout shake alongside creatine. Royal jelly isn't a stimulant and it's not a creatine replacement. It's just another ingredient in the stack. It contains all nine essential amino acids and a stack of B-vitamins that are involved in energy metabolism. That's the nutritional profile. I'm not claiming it gives you a pump or adds plates to your bench.

I think of it the same way I think about adding greens powder to a shake. It's there because the nutritional profile makes sense, not because I'm expecting some dramatic effect within 30 minutes.

Quick Note on Dosage

I take about 500mg per day (half a teaspoon). Some people take up to 1g. The serving size is on the pouch. Start with half a teaspoon and see how it fits into your routine.

Royal jelly is a bee product and a known allergen. If you've never had it before, start small. If you're allergic to bee stings or bee products, don't take it. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, chat to your GP first.

Every pouch comes with a dosage guide card and a COA so you know exactly what you're putting in your body.
